- 1 cup of chocolate frosting
- 1 cup of vanilla frosting
- 12 chocolate sandwich cookies
- 12 mini peanut butter cups
- 12 candy corn candies
- 12 candy eyes
- Red and orange decorating gel
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake tin with paper liners
In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cupcake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water
Mix until smooth
Fill each cupcake liner 2/3 full with the cupcake batter
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Let the cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack
Frost half of the cupcakes with chocolate frosting and the other half with vanilla frosting
Twist apart the chocolate sandwich cookies and use one half as the turkey's body and the other half as the turkey's feathers
Stick the body into the center of the frosted cupcakes and arrange the feathers behind it
Place a mini peanut butter cup on top of the body as the turkey's head
Attach a candy corn candy to the front of the peanut butter cup as the turkey's beak
Attach a candy eye above the beak on the peanut butter cup
Use red decorating gel to draw the turkey's wattle below the beak and orange decorating gel to create the turkey's feet below the body
Repeat the process for all cupcakes to create a batch of adorable turkey cupcakes for Thanksgiving! Serve and enjoy!
