Vegan Creole Spice Popcorn Chicken



If you're vegan, try this take on popcorn chicken with Creole seasoning instead of chicken. These tasty treats come in bite-sized pieces and are great as a snack or starter. They will satisfy your craving for something crunchy and tasty.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vital wheat gluten
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon Creole seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs vegan
  • Oil for frying such as vegetable or peanut

Instructions:

Vital wheat gluten, nutritional yeast, Creole seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl

Add water, soy sauce, and olive oil to a different bowl and mix them together

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ones and stir them together until everything is well mixed

For a few minutes, knead the dough until it gets stretchy

Cut the dough into small chunks and shape them into chicken-shaped popcorn

Make sure that all of the nuggets are covered in breadcrumbs

Put oil in a pan and heat it over medium-low heat

It will take about 4 to 5 minutes for each batch of nuggets to get golden brown and crispy

Place the cooked nuggets on a plate lined with paper towels to drain off any extra oil

Serve hot with the sauce of your choice
