Individual Ornament Cakes



These individual ornament cakes are a delightful treat for special occasions. Their vibrant colors and festive decorations make them perfect for holiday parties and celebrations.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Assorted food coloring gels
  • Edible glitter or sprinkles
  • Fondant icing various colors

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until smooth

Divide the cupcake batter evenly into different bowls, one for each desired color

Add a few drops of food coloring gel to each bowl and mix until you achieve your desired colors

Fill each cupcake liner with a different colored batter, layering the colors for a marbled effect

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean

Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack

While the cupcakes cool, roll out the various colored fondant icing and cut out decorative shapes like ornaments, stars, and ribbons

Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, decorate them with the fondant shapes, using a little water to adhere them to the cupcakes

Sprinkle edible glitter or sprinkles over the cupcakes for extra sparkle
